Job Title: Product Manager – (Wound care)

1. Job Purpose
Business to Business
• To actively manage the business to business (B2B) product portfolio including line extensions and new product launch in co-operation with Sales, Customer Services & Strategic Marketing
• To create and manage B2B marketing messages, product performance data and product comparison information to support Business Development Managers and our B2B customers
ActivHeal®
• To actively manage the ActivHeal® product portfolio including line extensions and new product launch in co-operation with Sales, Customer Services & Strategic Marketing.
• To create and manage ActivHeal® marketing messages, strengthen positive customer interaction
• Development of the ActivHeal® range and brand within the NHS and Private Healthcare sectors in the UK
• To ensure the UK sales team are fully resourced to deliver account opportunities and to support achievement of project timelines
2. Key Results Area
• Delivery of the B2B marketing plan in line with the 3 year strategic plan
• Delivery of UK direct marketing plan in line with the 3 year strategic plan
• Support the achievement of the sales targets for both value and margin3. Job Tasks and Responsibilities
General
• Generation of sales aids and other materials
• Development and delivery of a Key Opinion Leader (KOL) plan
• Management of post market surveillance (PMS) and production of summary reports designed to support Strategic Marketing, the Product Review Board (PRB) and R&D
• Management of product upgrades and line extensions
• Management of sales team data with support from Customer Service team
• Identifying and analysing sales growth and market share trends
• Monitoring and analysis of competitor activity
• Providing direct field support to priority accounts
• Developing and analysing sales and market share data
• Designing external PR/advertising and publication plans and managing their implementation
Business to Business
• Providing distributor support in terms of co-marketing activity and promotions Monitoring and highlighting relevant B2B tender activity
• Initiating case studies and papers to support PR programmes and B2B literature
ActivHeal®
• Support the Regional Managers for any UK pre tender activity and formal tender submission.
• Working with Strategic Marketing on operational aspects of product branding
• Providing analysis and input to pricing strategy development process
• Constructing training and induction programmes for sales and clinical teams
• Compiling and constructing case study evaluation data and market support material
4. Resources
• Assist in building the tactical marketing budget for advanced wound care
• Manage the tactical Marketing budget and expenditure
5. Decision Making
• Recommend and produce the business case for product upgrades and line extensions
• Recommend and produce the product specific sales and marketing literature
• PR and day-to-day non strategic communications and content
6. Working Relationships
• The jobholder has day to day working relationships with UK Regional Business Managers (North/South), Country Business Managers (EMEA, Asia and South America and US & Canada), Business Development Managers (EMEA, Asia and South America and US & Canada), NHS Account Executives, Clinical Support Nurses, Sales and Marketing PA, Research and Development Team, Customer Service Team, Strategic Marketing & Clinical Research Manager
• Direct responsibility for the Marketing Executive
7. Communication
• The jobholder will be required to communicate verbally on the telephone and on e-mail within the immediate team and with others identified above
• The jobholder will be required to run and participate in meetings
• The jobholder will be required to write reports as required
• The jobholder will be required to carry out presentations to the management team on a regular basis on the progress of projects
8. Knowledge and Skills
• Business or Marketing Degree
• Previous relevant experience in wound care and medical device sales and brand/product management
• Knowledge of UK and global wound care markets advantageous
• Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent analytical skills
